Effective 14 August 2026
Ballast is a mobile game about stacking cargo with a harbour crane. This policy explains what data the game handles and who it is shared with. The short version: Ballast has no accounts, no sign in, and our own code collects no personal data. The only data that leaves your device is what the advertising and billing services listed below collect to do their jobs, and each of those asks for consent or runs through your app store.
None. Your progress, coins, upgrades, cosmetics and settings are saved only on your device. We run no servers, and nothing you do in the game is sent to us. Deleting the app deletes your save.
Ballast shows banner and rewarded ads through AppLovin MAX and its partner ad networks. To select and measure ads, these services may process:
On first launch, Ballast asks whether you allow personalised ads. If you decline, or if you tell us you are under 16, the game requests non personalised, age appropriate ads only, and flags your sessions as age restricted to the ad networks. You can change this choice at any time in Settings under Ad Preferences.
On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt additionally controls access to the advertising identifier. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, ads are served without it. You can change this at any time in your device settings under Privacy & Security, Tracking.
AppLovin's own privacy policy is at applovin.com/privacy, including its opt out choices.
In app purchases (for example Remove Ads) are processed entirely by your app store: Google Play on Android, the Apple App Store on iOS. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase receipts are verified on the device through Google Play Billing or Apple StoreKit. Refunds follow your store's refund policy.
Ballast is built with Unity. Unity's runtime may process basic device data needed to run the game. Unity's privacy policy is at unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Ballast does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Players who indicate they are under 16 receive only non personalised ads, and their sessions are flagged as age restricted to every ad partner.
To understand how the game is played and tune it, Ballast records gameplay events such as runs started, pieces placed and purchases made, through GameAnalytics. These events carry device information and a per install identifier, never your name, contacts or precise location. GameAnalytics' privacy policy is at gameanalytics.com/privacy.
Because we store nothing about you, there is nothing for us to delete: removing the app removes your save. For data held by ad networks, use the opt out and deletion contacts in the AppLovin privacy policy linked above, or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings (Android: Ads settings; iOS: Privacy & Security, Tracking and Apple Advertising). For analytics data, the GameAnalytics policy above lists its deletion contact.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated effective date.
